serenade organic product review

Last week we gave out a bundle of free products to a lucky group of our facebook friends. The only condition was that they took it for a test run and let us all know what they thought of it.

The lovely Lola Kans received a Serenade Organic Travel Pamper Pack and here is what she had to say:

I was very excited to be selected as one of your Facebook product review posse!! Here is my review:

Was all very excited to head into the Northbridge store and collect my goodie for road testing – also managed to buy myself a stunning scarf whilst I was browsing (which I am wearing as I type). Neatly packaged in convenient travel size was the Serenade Organic Pamper Pack, consisting of 1-Purify Facial Cleanser, 1- Nourish Facial Moisturiser and 1-Restore Eye Cream plus one pint sized scoop.

Purify Facial Cleanser

Jumped in the shower to test this one out on my face and forgot to grab the pint sized scoop, managed to wrangle out a small amount of the cleanser using the back of my nails. The cream was smooth, gentle and not overly fragranced. Left my face feeling soft, supple, refreshed and cleansed. Will definitely use again. I can see the benefit of this being part of a travel kit, as after flight/car ride this would feel deluxe and soothing.
Rating: 4/5 stars

Nourish Facial Moisturiser

Both my mum and I tested this one on our face. She is a beauty product connoisseur these days and loves a new product. Unfortunately this did not leave overly impressed. The product was lovely, not too fragranced as to drown the senses but was a little too thick/heavy as a daily moisturiser. My skin felt like it had a coating compared to a moisturiser which would have been absorbed. Perhaps it would be better as a night time moisturiser. Again, I can see the benefit of it being in a travel pack because after much traveling, when your skin is dehydrated then that extra coating would be a good thing.

Restore Eye Cream

Used this on a Sunday night after an action packed weekend. Went on light and easily, again not too fragranced so as to sting my eyes. Felt lovely and luxurious. Would definitely use again.
Rating: 4/5 stars

Overall, very happy with my product allocation.

Cons: Only one scoop which wandered occasionally when needed. Moisturiser was a bit heavy for my preference.

Pros: Great compact size for travelling. Loved the eye cream and cleanser.

Overall score: 7.5/10 stars
